The Market at American University
AU's food pantry, The Market, serves as a vital nutritional resource for all AU students, especially those experiencing food insecurity while on campus.
Through our ongoing partnership with the Capital Area Food Bank, The Market receives monthly deliveries of shelf-stable items and fresh produce, as well as grant funding that strengthens our capacity and outreach. Additional food and personal care items are provided through community drives, campus partners, and donor contributions.
Your gift ensures that all Eagles have access to fresh fruits and vegetables, shelf-stable goods, and essential hygiene products. Together, we can help students stay nourished, focused, and able to achieve their academic goals.
Last academic year, The Market served 1,527 students who made more than 4,000 visits for support.
