American University Club Field Hockey was re-founded in the fall of 2021. We play year-round, competing against other college club teams in the DMV area as part of the National Field Hockey League (NFHL). At the end of each spring semester, the team qualifies for the NFHL National Tournament in Virginia Beach, which brings teams from all over the country together to compete for the championship title. We have all types of players: undergrads, grads, beginners, experts, and international players, which is what makes our team so special!
Fundraising is a key part of our program. We raise money to help reduce the impact of the NFHL tournament payments, referees, and travel expenses, and uniform and equipment costs. Through fundraising and donations, we can budget for more games, more equipment replacements, and help provide more uniform essentials, like socks and shin guards, to our newer players.
